Ascot employs a range of state of the art equipment and machinery, from the plate preparation stage to printing, punching and personalisation. Artwork is prepared in the pre-press department using industry standard softwares and Heidelberg image setters and scanners. The printing presses include lithographic presses, UV dryers and screen printing presses and other equipments from industry leaders including Heidelberg, Oasys Technologies, Cim etc

 

 

Raw Materials & Card Standard

Raw materials, namely 77 Vicat Heat Resistant PVC sheets manufactured are acquired from Europe. Clear overlays, overlays with magnetic stripes, inks and holograms are all imported from certified suppliers. All materials meet with ISO standards and specifications ensuring durability in terms of weathering, heat, resistance to acids and pressure and complete conformance with ISO-7810 the international standard for Plastic cards.

Cards with thickness ranging from 370 up to 800 microns can be manufactured, in materials including press polished, varnished or laminated PVC, ABS or paper/cardboard. The standard card follows the ISO specifications laminated PVC of size 3.375" (85.72mm) x 2.125" (53.97mm) x 0.030"(0.76mm) with rounded corners used for all Visa and MasterCard cards.
